Your school's app, with nobody having to download anything.
Students, parents and teachers open the school's address on their phone and use it like an app: full screen, saved login, home-screen shortcut. No app store, no pending update, no student who gave up at install time.
Why Traus has no app to download.
It's not a limitation: it's a decision. A native app creates four problems a course-based school doesn't need to have.
Installing is a real barrier
A good share of students give up when it's time to search the store, free up space on their phone and create one more password.
Old phones don't run new apps
A device with little memory or an outdated OS freezes. The browser, on the other hand, works on everything.
Students stuck on an old version
Whoever doesn't update gets stuck on an old version and calls the front office saying "the app has an error".
Fixes depend on third parties
Publishing a fix goes through Apple's and Google's approval. In the browser, the fix goes live immediately.
It works like an app because it was built for the phone.
It's not the desktop system squeezed onto a small screen. The screens students and teachers use were designed for the thumb, standing up, one-handed.
- Home-screen shortcutStudents add the school's icon and open it like any other app.
- Login that stays savedNo typing a password every time they want to see the next lesson.
- Lightweight screensOpens fast even on a poor connection or an old device.
- One link does itThe front office sends the address on WhatsApp and the student is already in.
School app questions.
So Traus doesn't have an app?+
There's no app to download from the App Store or Play Store. What exists is the school portal, which runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen as a shortcut — in practice students use it just like an app.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?+
Yes, and on tablets and computers too. Since it runs in the browser, it works on any device with internet, including older ones.
Do students have to type their password every time?+
No. The login stays saved on their device, like any app.
Can I put my school's brand on it?+
Yes. The portal lives at your school's address and carries its name and identity — students access your school, not Traus.
